The AVS garage door receiver is a complete add on to enable the garage door button on your AVS insurance rated alarm (A4 and S-Series) remotes.
It wires in parallel to the garage door button/switch and receives a signal from the garage door button on your AVS alarm remotes. This allows you to open and close the garage door with your AVS remote instead.
No need to worry about carrying the normally bulky and non waterproof garage door remote around as well.
